Terms of Service

Effective October 21, 2026

These terms govern your use of the SparkPlug app for Mac and sprkplg.io (together, "SparkPlug"). Please read them before using the app.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing or using SparkPlug, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use SparkPlug.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use SparkPlug on Macs you own or control. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer or create derivative works of SparkPlug, except where applicable law permits it.

3. Connected accounts

SparkPlug can connect to third-party services such as Google Calendar. When you connect an account, you authorize SparkPlug to access that service on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of those services remains subject to their own terms, including the Google Terms of Service. You can disconnect an account at any time in SparkPlug Settings or from your Google Account permissions page.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use SparkPlug to:

  • break any law or violate anyone else's rights;
  • access calendars or accounts you are not authorized to use;
  • interfere with or overload Google's or any other connected service;
  • distribute malware or attempt to bypass SparkPlug's security features.

5. Your content

You own the tasks, notes and calendar data you create or connect. We do not claim any rights to it. You are responsible for keeping your own backups.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information SparkPlug accesses and how it is handled, including our commitments for data received from Google APIs.

7. Disclaimers

SparkPlug is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that SparkPlug will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that calendar data from third-party services will always be accurate or up to date.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SparkPlug and its developers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, missed appointments or lost profits, arising from your use of SparkPlug. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for SparkPlug in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You can stop using SparkPlug at any time by uninstalling it and disconnecting any linked accounts. We may suspend or end your license if you violate these terms.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use SparkPlug after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
